Voting on Thursday to decide fate of 21 contestants in fray

JAMMU, APRIL 14 – Campaigning ended today for the Jammu Parliamentary constituency which is going to polls in the first phase of the five-phased Parliamentary Elections 2009 on Thursday.

The fate of as many as 21 contestants in 20 Assembly segments of Jammu, Samba, Poonch and Rajouri districts will be sealed by over 17 lakh voters on the day of polling on April 16.

Jammu Parliamentary constituency has the largest electorate among all the six Parliamentary constituencies in the State. As many as 2,210 polling stations have been set up in the constituency to facilitate the voters.
