Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 10: The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Billawar Vinay Khosla, SP Operations Billawar Amir, SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar, SHO Billawar Zaheer Manas, officers from the Indian Army, CRPF, intelligence agencies, and civil administration representatives.
A detailed discussion was held regarding the presence of anti-national elements (ANEs) and the measures required to counter any potential threats. Officers shared their insights on ongoing security challenges and operational strategies to tackle nefarious activities in the region.
DIG Sharma commended the security forces for their dedication and instructed all agencies to maintain a high level of preparedness to ensure peace and stability in the area. He emphasized the importance of synergy and coordinated efforts among different security agencies to effectively handle security concerns.
Apart from security measures, DIG Sharma directed civil authorities to focus on developing essential infrastructure such as road connectivity, electricity, water supply, and other facilities for the personnel deployed in remote and sensitive areas. He stressed that better infrastructure would enhance operational efficiency and support newly established security camps.
DIG Sharma appealed to the public of Billawar and its higher reaches to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station, Army, SOG camps, or Village Defence Groups (VDGs). He urged people to refrain from spreading rumors or fake news, warning that strict action will be taken against those attempting to disturb communal harmony.
The meeting concluded with DIG Sharma acknowledging the efforts of security forces and civil administration in maintaining peace and order in the region.
