The crackdown, led by ADM Ansuya Jamwal and SP Rural Brijesh Sharma, aimed at enforcing traffic laws and curbing violations, was carried out by teams of the district administration constituting officials from Motor Vehicles Department, District Police and Traffic Police.
Officials inspected nearly 280 vehicles and issued 71 challans for violations, including tinted windows, triple riding, failure to wear helmets or seat belts, unauthorised music systems in public transport vehicles, pressure horns on motorcycles, modified tyres and lights, and tampered number plates. Authorities seized 16 vehicles for serious infractions, removed black films from cars and dismantled loudspeakers installed in matadors.
The estimated total from the fines is ₹1,70,800.
