JAMMU, Mar 11: Department of Sociology and Economic in Collaboration with Women Empowerment Committee of Gdc Mahanpur organised symposium on "Gender Equality " on 11/3/25.In connection with Celebration of International Women's Day across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir w.e.f 08 to 12th March, 2025. It was organized by Dr. Sapna Devi (Convener, Women Empowerment Committee ), Prof. Namita Department of sociology, in collaboration with Bably Department of Economic under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College.The main motive of the activity was to raise awareness about Gender equality . Gender equality is a fundamental human right that's essential for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world.
The staff members who were present in the programme were Dr. Mohinder Nath Sharma, Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Dr. Jobinder Singh Soodan , Prof . Rupalee Jasrotia , Ms. Nisha , Dr. Anju Bala, Dr. Yograj, Dr. Nishu ,Dr. Hila Bhut, Prof . Namita Trogia, Dr. Suhail Ahmed Dar , Prof . Sameeksha Sharma, Prof. Monika devi , Prof. Anuradha, Prof. Pooja Sambyal ,Prof. Shivani Panooch . Students namely Ajay Sinduria 6thsem ,Simaran 6thsem, Monika Sharma 4ththsem ,Ruchika6thsem and Sheikha 6thsem participated in Symposium . The entire program was hosted by Dr. Sapna Devi and the formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof . Namita . |
