JKTJAC delegation meets DSEJ, highlights key issues of teachers

JAMMU, Mar 11: A delegation of the Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), led by UT President Vinod Sharma, met Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS) to discuss pressing concerns of the teaching fraternity.
During the meeting, Vinod Sharma raised several key issues, including:
Inclusion of ReT Teachers in ATD: Seeking a comprehensive transfer policy following CAT's recent directions for ReT teachers after regularization.
One-time Exemption for Undergraduate Teachers: Allowing conversion of Grade III Teachers to Grade II after graduation.
Pending Regularization Orders: Urging clearance of ReT regularization files pending at DSEJ. Conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III: Requesting finalization of files.
Mutual Transfers for ReT Teachers: Pushing for issuance of pending transfer lists. Allocation of Substantive Posts: Advocating for Grade II teachers to be assigned posts based on seniority.
Shortage of Free Supply Books: Asking JKBOSE to ensure availability of all textbooks for the new session in winter zones.
DPC of Teachers to Masters: Addressing stagnation by conducting Departmental Promotion Committees (DPC).
Earned Leave for Teachers on Duty During Vacations: Demanding leave benefits for those engaged in official duties during winter/summer breaks.
Dr. Chowdhary assured the delegation that all concerns, including regularization, conversion, and promotions, are under active consideration.
