| GDC Udhampur, LG Electronics organise Blood Donation Camp | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: In a commendable display of social responsibility, the Government Degree College, Udhampur, organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with LG Electronics and Thalassemia Welfare Society, Jammu. This initiative aimed to support individuals suffering from thalassemia and other blood disorders, emphasizing the importance of regular blood donations.
The camp was efficiently managed under the supervision of Dr Vijay Kumar, CTO 2 J&K NCC Battalion, with active coordination from Mr Mukteesh Sharma and the dedicated NCC cadets of the college. Their collective efforts ensured a well-organized event, reflecting the spirit of community service and leadership among the participants.
A specialized team of doctors from Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, led by Dr Rashmi (PG 3rd Year) was present to oversee the medical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all donors. Their expertise and guidance were instrumental in the smooth conduct of the camp, adhering to all necessary health protocols.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, resulting in a substantial number of blood units being collected.
