JALANDHAR, Mar 11: Jalandhar, Cognitia'25, the annual technical fest organized by the Department of Student Research and Projects at the Lovely Professional University (LPU) campus, celebrated rigorous technical challenges, groundbreaking innovations, and unmatched intellectual engagement. The three-day event witnessed the participation of over 450+ teams from various disciplines across the university, engaging in a series of challenges that tested their engineering prowess, problem-solving skills, and creative ingenuity.
Participants competed in 14 specialized competitions, each meticulously designed to test the limits of engineering excellence and scientific reasoning. One of the most exhilarating segments was Ignition Quest, The Model Rocketry Competition, where participants engineered and launched aerodynamically optimized rockets, demonstrating an advanced understanding of propulsion dynamics, thrust-vectoring, and flight stability. Aero Rush, Drone Racing Competition saw contestants steering high-speed UAVs through complex aerial courses, requiring precise flight control, real-time adjustments, and mastery of aerodynamics. Additionally, The Bot Brawl, The Sumo Robo Warand Mecha-Goal, Robo-Soccer Faceoff featured AI-powered autonomous and semi-autonomous robots engineered by students, competing in battles that required advanced control algorithms, strategic automation, and mechanical durability.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder-Chancellor of LPU, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor of LPU, and other esteemed dignitaries closely observed the technical projects and encouraged the participants.
