Desh Bhagat University Organizes Online Faculty Development Programme

Mandi Gobindgarh, Mar 11: An Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was successfully organized by AIU-DBU-AADC, with 78 participants from Desh Bhagat University and other institutions. The programme focused on various aspects of technological tools in administration and education.
Prof. (Dr.) H.K. Sidhu, AIU-DBU-AADC Coordinator, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of technology in academic administration. Honorable Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh highlighted the role of FDPs in faculty growth and institutional development. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit H. Joshi stressed the necessity of integrating technology-driven solutions in university administration to enhance efficiency and transparency.
Throughout the five-day event, distinguished speakers addressed key technological advancements. Dr. Ranjana Parhiar, AIU Nodal Officer, underscored the impact of digital transformation in administration. Dr. Prasad Burange from Punjab Agricultural University emphasized smart tools for operational efficiency. Mr. Abhinav Mishra, ERP Implementation Manager, conducted hands-on training on digital resource utilization. Dr. Dnyaneshwar Arjun Madane elaborated on the benefits of modern administrative tools, while Dr. Manoja Abhijit Joshi explored technology's role in Ayurveda and the Indian Knowledge System (IKS).
On the final day, Dr. Pramod Kumar Mandal from Chandigarh University highlighted Education 4.0 and the importance of AI, VR, AR, IoT, and Big Data in shaping modern education. The programme concluded with a valedictory session where the Vice Chancellor commended the organizers for a successful FDP.
The event ended on a high note with blessings from the Honorable Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to technological advancement in education.
