| Two drug peddlers nabbed with 17.60 grams heroin like substance | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Mar 12: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered 17.60 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from their possession.
A Police party headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana under the supervision of SDPO Bari Barhmana and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba during vehicle checking naka established near SIDCO Chowk Bari Brahmana, intercepted a car Ford Eco Sport bearing registration No. JK01AG-8171 coming from Balole Khad for its checking. During checking, 17.60 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the persons sitting in the car. The drug peddlers identified as Junaid Ahmed Shah S/o Gh Nabi Shah R/o Arampora tehsil Bihama district Gandarbal and Tariq Ahmed Bhat S/o Mohammad Jamal Bhat R/o Babosi Pora tehsil Bihama district Gandarbal have been arrested and contraband item alongwith vehicle have also been seized.
A case FIR No. 39/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started. SSP Samba warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities and also sought the cooperation of people in this regard. |
