Dogra Group of Colleges hosts Traffic Awareness

JAMMU, Mar 12: Dogra Law College, Dogra Degree College, and Dogra College of Education, in association with Traffic Police Samba, organized a Traffic Awareness Programme at Dogra Educational Trust (DET) Auditorium. The event aimed to educate students on road safety, traffic rules, and responsible driving.
The programme commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Arushi Khajuria, Senior Lecturer at Dogra Law College. The event was graced by Girdhari Lal Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Jammu, as the distinguished guest, Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, Dy. SP Traffic Samba-Kathua, and Kartar Nath, SI Traffic Police Bari Brahmana. Girdhari Lal Sharma's address centred around the vital role of traffic awareness in preventing accidents and ensuring road safety. His expertise and practical insights into traffic regulations were met with great enthusiasm by the attendees. Girdhari Lal Sharma's emphasis on responsible driving practices and his call to students to become ambassadors of road safety left a lasting impression on everyone present.
Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, presented a memento to the chief guest in appreciation of his contribution. The event was attended by dignitaries from Dogra Group of Colleges, faculty, staff, and students. A pledge-taking ceremony reinforced the commitment to follow traffic rules and responsible driving.
Dr. Arti Gandotra, Programme In-Charge, Dogra Law College, delivered the vote of thanks, concluding the impactful session. This initiative reflects Dogra Group of Colleges' commitment to nurture socially responsible citizens while promoting road safety awareness.
