Indian Army organized Awareness Lecture

DODA, Mar 12: In a continued effort to engage with and uplift local communities, Indian Army organised an awareness lecture on Drug Abuse for the youth of Dessa area. The session aimed to educate young individuals about the detrimental effect of drug addiction and the importance of leading a healthy and disciplined life. During the lecture, 70 attendees including students, teachers and parents at High School, Gei were informed about the physical, mental and social consequences of drug consumption. It was highlighted how substance abuse negatively impacts personal well-being, family relationships and career opportunities. The session also focused on legal consequences and preventive measures, encouraging the youth to stay away from drugs and contribute positively to society. The Indian Army remains committed to the welfare of the nation's youth and will continue conducting such awareness programs to foster a drug-free and progressive society. Local residents appreciated this initiative and expressed gratitude for the Army's efforts in shaping a brighter future for the younger generation.
