| HM militant arrested, hideout busted in Rajouri | | |
DODA SEPT-22- A hardcore militant of Hizb- ul- Mujahideen (HM) outfit was arrested today by the Police from Bonjwah area of the district while security forces busted a hide out in Rajouri district and recovered some arms and ammunition.
Acting on a tip off about the presence of the militant namely Mohammed Isreal son of Barru Gujjar of Tipri Bonjwah of HM outfit, Police laid a meticulously planned ambush to apprehend the militant. When the militant approached ambush party, he was over powered by them and taken into custody on the spot.
According to reports the said militant has been active since September 1999 and was operating in Bonjwah, Chatroo and Dachhan areas. He got motivation by one militant Ghulam Mohammed, Area Commander of HM outfit, killed since, to join the militancy.
The reports said that the arrested militant is being questioned and some vital clues regarding his associates and involvement in criminal cases are expected from him that can lead to some more arrests and recoveries as well.
A police spokesman said, that in a joint search operation, the Police and NCA busted a hideout of anti-national elements in general area of Kachwali in Rajouri district and recovered one AK Butt, five AK magazines, one Pistol along with a magazine and three grenades.
