Drug peddler nabbed in Miran Sahib; 6 Grams heroin seized

JAMMU, Mar 12: Continuing crackdown on drug peddling under Operation Sanjeevani, the Miran Sahib police station in Jammu has arrested drug peddler & recovered heroin (Chita) like substance from his possession.
Police party of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Miran Sahib Inp Jai Paul Sharma, during naka checking apprehended one Ajit Singh S/o Kirpal Singh, resident of Ward No. 1, Simbal Camp, Miran Sahib, Tehsil RS Pura and 5.63 grams of heroin were recovered from his possession.
On this case FIR No.34/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS stands registered at Police Station and the investigation is in Progress. This arrest is part of the police's ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and peddling in the region.
The operation, led by SHO Police Station B R S Pura Sh. Jai Paul Sharma was executed under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu. Jammu Police remains committed in eradicating the drug menace and urges the public to report all such suspicious activities. Informant confidentiality will be ensured, fostering a safer and drug-free society.
Jammu Police is also committed in implementing a zero-tolerance policy against drug peddlers, with the aim of protecting the younger generation from the menace of drug abuse.
Jammu Police is working tirelessly to book all drug peddlers and prevent them from engaging in this illegal trade. The police are also conducting a financial investigation to identify and attach the illegitimate properties acquired by these criminals through the proceeds of narcotics.
