Samba police detain five more vagrants near Chitta hotspot, sent to District Jail Kathua

SAMBA, Mar 15: Continuing its intensified drive against vagrants loitering near drug hotspots, Samba Police has detained five more individuals under preventive sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The detainees were apprehended in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and subsequently sent to District Jail Kathua. A police team, led by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana, conducted a special operation around the infamous drug hotspot at Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana. During the operation, five individuals were found wandering suspiciously in the area. Upon investigation, they were identified as Gurpreet Singh, Mohd. Saleem, Deepak Sharma, Tanveer Singh, and Sunjay Chib.
The detention is part of Samba Police's ongoing efforts to curb drug-related offenses and rehabilitate those involved in narcotics abuse. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to eradicating the drug menace from society and assured that strict action will continue against those involved in drug peddling and substance abuse.
Samba Police has also urged the general public to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in their mission to eliminate drug-related activities. Community support is crucial in ensuring a drug-free society and protecting youth from the dangers of substance abuse.
