| PDP toys with rural faces | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 15- While the PDP has fielded candidates with a rural face and background in the five Lok Sabha constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir the National Conference has fielded candidates in three constituencies in the Kashmir valley who have an urban face. The PDP has fielded Peer Mohammed Hussain from Anantnag constituency. He is an agriculture graduate and hails from Thejiwas of Anantnag. Against this the National Conference has fielded Dr Mehboob Beg, belonging to Anantnag town. He is more of an urbanite than ruralate. Similarly for Srinagar seat the PDP has given the mandate of Milvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, who hails from Pattan. Again he has a rural background against Farooq Abdullah who is a westernized culture. Even if the National Conference decides to field Salman Sagar he would also be an urban face for the electorate. As far as Baramulla-Kupwara constituency is concerned PDP has fielded Dilawar Mir who hails from Rohama village. Against this Sharief-ud-Din Shariq, even though belonging to Langate, cannot be treated as ruralate as that of Mir. Even for Jammu-Poonch the PDP has given the mandate to an agriculturist, T.S.Bajwa. As far as Udhampur-Kathua constituency is concerned the PDP has again given the mandate to a rural face Balbir Singh who hails from a backward area of Billawar.
