| Guv, CM shocked over avalanche incident | | | Early Times report
Jammu, Apr 15- The Governor, N. N. Vohra, has expressed profound shock and grief over the tragic death of seven soldiers and injuries to eight others in a snow avalanche incident in the Kupwara area yesterday.
The Governor has sent a condolence message to the Northern Army Commander, Lt. Gen. P. C. Bhardwaj, and requested him to convey his sentiments to the members of the families of the deceased soldiers. In his message, the Governor expressed his sincere sympathy and prayers for eternal peace to the departed souls.
The Governor also prayed for speedy recovery of the soldiers injured in the incident.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the death of seven soldiers in a snow avalanche at Kupwara-Karnah highway on Tuesday.
In a condolence message, Abdullah said the incident was most unfortunate and expressed his sympathy with the bereaved families.
