PDP boasts of edge over others in Jammu

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 15- Winding up the election campaign for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, the PDP can safely say that it has secured an edge over coalition and BJP candidate in this area, party leaders claim.
Rangil Singh Chairman Campaign Committee and Daman Bhasin General Secretary in a joint statement said that the recent statement of Omar Abdullah and some other NC leasers that PDP is hob-nabbing with BJP and RSS is nothing but a total frustration of the coalition to mislead the voters. In fact, it was NC which was a part of the NDA in which Omar Abdullah was a Minister in the Government which he has conveniently forgotten. More over BJP and NC nexus in Jammu Municipal Corporation is known to everyone. They charged that the coalition government has failed on all fronts and in order to save their skin to mislead the voters were making such baseless statements. After three months in power, the government formation is still incomplete. There is no joint agenda for governance in absence of common minimum programmed (which is still to be finalized). The coalition could not list a single substantial achievement in their hundred days rule.
The collation in fear of growing popularity of PDP has been adopting unethical and dubious methods to lure PDP workers by offering them lucrative positions (The case of Ghulam Qadir Pardesi is a classical example) where the recommended list was withdrawn from the office of the Governor to include Pardesi’s name. Likewise the induction of defeated candidate in Assembly election in the upper House has made a mockery of the constitutional provisions and has further denigrated the office of the Governor.
The coalition has gone back from his promise one job per family, lowering qualification standard for entering in govt. service and giving stipend to the unemployed educated youths. The PDP does not need BJP or any other such organizations as PDP has a clear-cut agenda and achievements on its own to convince the masses.
PDP has considerably increased its vote bank during recently held Assembly elections, which is a sold proof of its growing popularity.
Meanwhile the party at a meeting held under the chairmanship of S. Rangil Singh condoled the sad demise of the brother of Jasbir Singh Pah senior leader and father of S. Varinder Singh Sonu Youth leader of PDP.
The PDP leaders paid rich tributes and expressed solidarity with his family and prayed for his eternal peace.
Those present in the meeting were Daman Bhasin, Manjeet Singh, Shanti Devi, Baldev Singh Slathia, Ashok Jogi, HR Chargotra, Dupinder Kour, Chander Slathia ,Rajinder Singh, E-Peter, Nirmal Singh, Rafiq Choudhary, Vikas Dutt and Vir Bhushan,
