MLA Hazratbal, Salman Sagar, raised the issue of breach of confidentiality regarding House proceedings. He expressed concern over a question he had posed for official information being circulated among the public in Srinagar, triggering unnecessary panic.
MLAs Shamima Firdous, Ahsan Pardesi, Mushtaq Guroo, and Tanvir Sadiq strongly supported his demand for an inquiry and strict action against those responsible for this wilful breach at the peril of public peace and order.
MLA Baramulla, Javaid Baig, brought to the House’s notice the alarming issue of landslides and land sinking in parts of his constituency. Stressing the urgency of preventive measures, he urged the administration to intervene promptly.
Responding to his concerns, Speaker, Abdul Rahim Rather, directed him to submit details to the Minister Incharge, Revenue Department, for swift action.
MLA Bijbehara, Dr. Bashir Veeri, urged the government to consider granting pensionary benefits to terminated employees on humanitarian grounds, recognizing their lifelong service to the departments they had been employed in.
Meanwhile, MLA Chanapora, Mushtaq Guroo, voiced concerns over a local playfield being converted into commercial property by the Custodian Department and called for immediate intervention to protect the public recreational spaces.
MLA Ramgarh, Dr. Davinder Kumar Manyal, highlighted the absence of specialist doctors at Sub District Hospital, Ramgarh. He demanded urgent posting of an Anaesthesia Consultant, Paediatrician, and ENT Surgeon to improve healthcare services for the local population.
MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa, shed light on the plight of 1,200 Academic Arrangement in the Health Department who have been denied their salaries for months despite serving for 10-15 years.
MLA Doda (West), Shakti Parihar, drew attention to the collapse of a footbridge in his constituency, which has left around 10,000 residents cut off from neighboring villages.
MLA Hiranagar, Vijay Kumar, sought immediate appointment of a full-time Tehsildar, as the current arrangement of additional charge has been causing inconvenience to the public.
MLA Udhampur (West), Pawan Kumar Gupta, demanded clarity on the stalled funding for two significant projects, a parking facility and a multi-purpose shopping complex, both sanctioned in 2023-24 with much of the work already completed.
