SSP Jammu inaugurates T-20 Cricket Tournament at SKUAST-J Ground

JAMMU, Mar 19: In order to provide a platform to the youth and channelize their energy in a positive manner, today T-20 cricket tournament under Civic Action Provramme (CAP) was inaugurated by SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh-JKPS at SKUAST-J Ground R S Pura, Jammu.
On the occasion,senior officers including Dean SKUAST-J faculty of Vetenary Science and Diary Technology Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch, SP Headquarters Jammu Sh. Irshad Hussain Rather-JKPS,SDM R S Pura Ms. Seema Parihar
-JKAS, SDPO R S PURA Sh. Gurmeet SINGH-JKPS and other Officers/Officials of Police department. Huge gathering of spectators including prominent members from civil society and media fraternity were also present on the occasion.
Total 10 teams will participate in this T-20, cricket tournament. Tournament will be played on league-cum-knock out basis.
SP Headquarters Jammu Sh. Irshad Hussain Rather-JKPS welcomed all the guests and participants of 10 teams and emphasized that Jammu & Kashmir Police has always been looking for positive activities and is always on the fore-front to organise various youth engagements programmes and this one is also a step forward in this direction.
SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh-JKPS after interacting with the participants emphasized upon the youth to take part in games and sports and encourage others to follow the same. He also said that one of the basic objectives of organising this tournament is to explore and tap hidden talent of budding youth and give them opportunity to improve and hone up their skills and at the same time keep them away from drug abuse and other social evils.
