BJP strengthening presence in Kashmir: Kavinder
3/19/2025 10:22:03 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 19: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, stated that the Modi Government has ushered in an era of unprecedented development in Kashmir, transforming the region with improved infrastructure, economic growth, and enhanced security. He asserted that in the coming time, BJP will further strengthen its presence in the Kashmir province, as people increasingly recognize the benefits of the party's governance and policies.
He was speaking after interacting with a deputation from Kashmir Province at the BJP Headquarters in Jammu. During the interaction, the deputation apprised the senior leader of various local issues, particularly concerning development and governance. In response, he assured them that the BJP remains committed to ensuring holistic progress across all districts of the Union Territory.
"The abrogation of Article 370 was a historic decision that has paved the way for equal development across Jammu & Kashmir. The Modi Government's focus on infrastructure, employment, and investment in Kashmir has brought positive changes, and people are witnessing the benefits firsthand," he remarked. He highlighted key developmental initiatives, including massive road and highway projects, better healthcare facilities, modern educational institutions, and enhanced tourism opportunities.
Kavinder further stated that BJP's growing acceptance in Kashmir is a reflection of its people-oriented policies and governance model. "The people of Kashmir now see BJP as a party that delivers on its promises. They no longer fall prey to the divisive politics of regional parties, which kept the Valley underdeveloped for decades," he said.
Asserting the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots level, Kavinder asked the BJP cadre in Kashmir to remain actively connected with the people and address their concerns. He emphasized that the upcoming Panchayat elections in J&K present a crucial opportunity for the party to expand its base and demonstrate its commitment to good governance. "The BJP is dedicated to empowering local bodies, and I call upon our party workers to work tirelessly to ensure that the development agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaches every village in Kashmir," he added.
The former Deputy CM also reiterated that the government is focused on creating employment opportunities for Kashmiri youth, ensuring peace and prosperity in the region. He appealed to the people of Kashmir to support the BJP's vision for a new and progressive Jammu & Kashmir, where every citizen enjoys the fruits of development.
The deputation members expressed their gratitude to Kavinder Gupta for addressing their concerns and assured their continued support for the BJP's mission in Kashmir.
