JAMMU, APRIL 15 - Stressing on all-round development of children in the field of education, Director General of Police (DGP) Mr. Kuleep Khoda today called upon the student community to give priority to receiving quality education as it will enable them to take futuristic responsibilities as good citizens of the country. While sanctioning scholarships of over Rs. 1.1 lakh out of Central Police Education Fund in favour of children of deceased police personnel, the Director General of Police (DGP) said that children are our future and to provide facilities to them is one of the priorities of the Police Organization. He said by providing financial support, the students can get acquainted with modern education which will enable them to compete at various competitive examinations. He said that J&K Police is taking keen interest in providing quality education to the children of police personnel, adding that many initiatives have been taken during past several years in this regard. The scholarships have been sanctioned among 42 students of deceased police personnel which include Aman Angural, Vikas Angural, Sajad Ahmed, Jehangir Ahmed, Rukhsana Akhtar, Junaid Faiyaz, Majid Faiyaz, Subya Jan, Shazia Jan, Nadia Jan, Simpy Koul, Saira Yaqoob, Shafiya Shafi, Rifat Shafi, Sumaira Qadir, Zubair Ahmed, Zubair Maqbool, Shahid Maqbool, Showkat Ahmed, Raja Muneer, Shugfta , Shasita, Nusrat Fatima, Rafit Fatima, Samina Yousuf, Touseef Mohammad, Arshika Altaf, Sheenam Altaf, Mehreen Altaf, Danisha Altaf, Jan Mohammd, Syed Saqib, Shugfta Hassan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Afreen Riyaz, Afroza Nazir, Insha Qayoom, Ashfaq Qayoom, Kulsuma Qayoom, Mubeena Akhtar, Sameer Nazir and Zeeshan Nazir
