SLCA Jammu-Kashmir organized Master Volunteers Training

JAMMU, Mar 20: JKSPYM State Level Coordinating Agency J&K (SLCA J&K) organized one-day certificate training for Master-Volunteers of district Kishtwar under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) in collaboration with NISD, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India and district administration Kishtwar at Conference Hall, DC Office Kishtwar. DSWO Kishtwar, Zubair Ahmad was also present on the occasion. Around 72 Master-volunteers from district Kishtwar attended the training program. Zubair Ahmad in his keynote address, emphasized the urgency of tackling substance abuse, describing it as a severe issue affecting the youth in Jammu and Kashmir UT. He encouraged the master volunteers to make the most of the training, equipping themselves with the skills and knowledge to combat this growing challenge.
The program began with a welcome address, followed by an introduction to the State Level Coordinating Agency, J&K, and JKSPYM organisation and motive of the program. The training comprised the following sessions covering key topics "Overview of District-Level Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan"; "Understanding drugs, drug addiction, signs & symptoms, Myths & Facts about substance abuse"; "Roles and Responsibilities of Master-Volunteers/NMBA Leaders under NMBA"; "Basic Communication and Counselling skills".
This training program aimed to empower master volunteers with the tools to address substance abuse and foster a healthier, drug-free environment in the Kishtwar district.
