Omar Govt committed for empowerment of Youth by implementing Youth Centric Policies in J&K: NC

JAMMU, Mar 22: Ajay Kumar Sadhotra former minister and Additional General Secretary Jammu JKNC today emphasized that the present Omar Abdullah-led government remains dedicated to creating opportunities for the younger generation in Jammu & Kashmir. He stated that the NC leadership has always prioritized youth-centric policies, ensuring their active participation in the socio-economic and political landscape of the region.
The senior NC leader was speaking in the meeting organized under the chairmanship of Tejinder Pal Singh Aman, Provincial President Youth National Conference at Sher e Kashmir Bhawan Jammu. The witnessed enthusiastic participation from young party leaders and activists.
Addressing the meeting, Rattan Lal Gupta asserted that the youth should play a pivotal role in strengthening democracy at the grassroots level, and the National Conference will provide them with ample opportunities to participate in governance and decision-making in the upcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies elections in Jammu & Kashmir.
He asserted that the Omar government has been steadfast in addressing the aspirations of the youth, with a focus on economic growth, startup culture, and employment generation. He highlighted various initiatives, including skill development programs, financial assistance for entrepreneurs, and policies promoting higher education and sports.
"The National Conference has always been at the forefront of youth empowerment. We firmly believe that the future of J&K lies in the hands of our talented and ambitious youth. Omar Abdullah is committed to fostering an environment where young people can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the region," he stated.
He further stated that Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies polls are due in J&K, and the National Conference will ensure due representation to the youth in the upcoming elections. Encouraging the young party cadre, he urged them to work hard in highlighting the pro-people policies of the Omar government and to take the party's vision to every household.
Rattan Lal Gupta emphasized that young leaders have a crucial role to play in shaping the political landscape and ensuring that people continue to repose their faith in the leadership of Omar Abdullah.
Earlier, Tejinder Pal Singh Aman nominated Sahil Kerni as the District President Jammu Urban, YNC, after approval from the Provincial President, with the aim of strengthening the party's organizational structure and enhancing youth participation at the grassroots level.
Tejinder Pal Singh, in his address, encouraged the youth to actively contribute to the party's mission and strengthen its outreach among the people. He reiterated that the National Conference under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah remains the only party with a structured plan for youth empowerment and inclusive governance.
