SAMBA, Mar 22: The valedictory function of the NSS 7-Day Special Camp at SPPND Government Degree College Samba, successfully concluded, leaving a lasting impact on the volunteers and the students. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the NSS Programme Officer, Assistant Professor KamleshBala, who expressed her appreciation for the volunteers' dedication throughout the camp.PrincipalProf. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri was the Chief Guest on the occasion. She motivated the students and NSS volunteers to continue the spirit of social welfare through out life.Following this, the camp's activity report was presented detailing the various community service initiatives undertaken by the NSS volunteers. These initiatives included cleanliness drives, health awareness programs, visit to school of specially abled children, middle school as a part of adopted village initiative. The volunteers visited the adopted villages, Diani and Balore wherein stationery items, refreshment were distributed to students and they were also made aware of varied aspects of health & hygiene. The event also featured vibrant cultural performances, adding a festive touch to the ceremony. In addition, NSS volunteers took the stage to deliver inspiring speeches, sharing their personal experiences and the lessons learnt during their week of service. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of mementos and certificates to all the participants, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and contributions. |
