Jammu, Mar 24: Youth must uphold the legacy of Bhagat Singh and other freedom fighters by working towards the nation’s development, fighting against corruption, and ensuring social harmony.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta after paying heartfelt tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev in a function held at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas.
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent BJP leaders, including BJP J&K Organizational General Secretary Ashok Koul, MLA Bahu Vikram Randhawa, District President Naresh Singh, along with Rekha Mahajan, Jai Deep Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Lucky Puri, Vijay Sarpanch, Ritika Dhaman, Surjeet Singh, Ajay Partap, Sanjay Bahu, Sahil Mahajan, Indu Puri, Pummy Chowdhary, Pankaj Baral, Sunny Bakshi, and Bharat Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev remain an eternal source of inspiration for every Indian. He emphasized that true tribute to these martyrs lies not just in remembering them on special occasions but by following their ideals in real life. “These young revolutionaries fought against injustice and laid down their lives for the nation. It is our duty, especially the youth’s, to take forward their vision by ensuring a corruption-free and progressive India,” he added. Kavinder further stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘New India’ is deeply rooted in the principles of these great revolutionaries, where the country is strong, self-reliant, and just.
Ashok Koul, General Secretary Org, BJP, J&K urged the younger generation to dedicate themselves to nation-building by actively participating in democratic processes, social service, and constructive initiatives for the country’s growth.
Other BJP leaders also paid rich tributes to the martyrs and reiterated their commitment to carrying forward the spirit of patriotism and sacrifice in their political and social endeavors.
The event concluded with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and a renewed pledge to uphold the ideals of India’s revolutionary heroes.
