| District police Udhampur organizes Volleyball Tournament | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Mar 23: With the aim to provide platform to the youth of District Udhampur and In an effort to promote a healthy life and discourage drug abuse among the youth. District Police Udhampur organized a volleyball tournament today at Government Middle School Garhi. Youngsters of the different areas of district Udhampur were participated in the said tournament.
DySP Headquarters Udhampur Sh.Prehlad Kumar was the chief guest of the occasion. Besides SHO PS Rehambal locals and a huge crowd of the area witnessed the volleyball match and encouraged the participants.
Speaking on the occasion DySP Hqrs Udhampur praised the sportsmanship of the players. He conveyed that Sports activities are must for a healthy youth, and Jammu Kashmir Police is providing opportunities, platform for such sports activities to the youth. Further added that children should participate and grab the opportunities.
Besides this, floodlights were also provided by District Police Udhampur for the volleyball ground of GMS Garhi, ensuring that young players can continue their practice even during evening hours. Additionally refreshments were also arranged for all participants and spectators, making the event a memorable experience for the community.
At the conclusion of the event, prizes were distributed to the winning team as a token of appreciation for their efforts. |
