| Naib Tehsildar results by May 17 | | Chairman SSRB denies rumours of cancellation of results | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 16: The rumour about cancellation of the much awaited results of Naib Tehsildars has caused a great resentment and heart burning among the aspirants who appeared for interview against the post of Naib Tehsildars which was conducted after a gap of nearly seven years. However, setting these rumors at rest, the Chairman State Service Recruitment Board, BD Bhagat said that the results would be announced by May 17 and termed the rumor as the handiwork of some mischief mongers. Soon after the rumour spread in the state that Naib Tehsildar results have been withheld due to internal crises in the government, EARLY TIMES contacted the Chairman SSRB who said that some mischief mongers who do not want to shut their institutions are behind such rumour and announced the results will be declared by May 17. Expressing concern over the future of aspirants he said that these mischief mongers adopted every trick to delay the conduct of these exams and when they failed in their mission they are spreading rumors. Clearing his point he said that initially they wrote anonymous letter to Chairman SSRB under heading ‘Stop Injustice, Do Justice’ before the commencement of the exams stressing to treat applicants of 2002 eligible for all posts and the applicants of 2005 be treated eligible for 2005 and 2008 advertised posts only and those of 2008 should only be eligible to apply for those posts that have been advertised in 2008 itself. By clubbing the posts and advertising in one go, the chances of 2002 applicants would get reduced, the letter added. They did not stop here and instead send copies of this letter to even the President of India, Prime Minister, Governor, Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary; the Chairman said and added that when they did not succeed in their motive they went to Delhi to secure the question papers with a motive to leak these. After having failed in their mission these very rumor mongers held protest demonstrations seeking postponement of examinations, he said and pointed out that if they would have been the genuine aspirants they would have come to him or written their names on the letter they sent to high profiles.
