Arvind inspects Ranbir Canal Development, beautification works; stresses for timely completion of projects

JAMMU, Mar 24: Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta, conducted an extensive inspection of the ongoing construction of canal lining project from Paloura to Canal Head (RD 22000 to 25840 m of MRC), which is being executed at an estimated cost of ?6.89 crore. The project aims to enhance irrigation facilities, ensure efficient water distribution, and improve water management for the region.
During the visit, Arvind Gupta also reviewed the beautification work of Ranbir Canal under the Blue-Green Project, which is being implemented from Paloura to Canal Head, Jammu, with a budget allocation of Rs 71.34 lakh. This initiative is designed to enhance the canal's aesthetic appeal while contributing to ecological sustainability.
In addition to these works, the MLA inspected the ongoing silt clearance of Ranbir Canal from RD 22000 to 25840 m, undertaken at a cost of Rs 16.57 lakh. He emphasized that the timely execution of this project will facilitate the smooth flow of water, benefiting the farming community by ensuring an uninterrupted irrigation supply.
He also interacted with the officials of the Irrigation Department and urged them to maintain quality and timely completion of the projects, reiterating that the BJP-led administration is committed to modernizing Jammu's water infrastructure to meet the growing needs of both urban and rural populations.
Arvind Gupta reaffirmed that the BJP remains steadfast in its mission to implement impactful development initiatives that directly benefit the people. He assured that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is working tirelessly to transform Jammu into a model of infrastructural excellence, ensuring that every project aligns with the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
Accompanying the MLA were Talab Tillo Mandal President Anil Angral and Rehari Bakshi Nagar Mandal President Kushant Prajapati, along with senior officials of the Irrigation Department, including Executive Engineer Er. Amit Abrol, Assistant Executive Engineer Er. Sumesh Hangloo, Assistant Engineer Er. Nishant Sharma, and Junior Engineer Er. Ankush Gupta. Several BJP karyakartas, including General Secretary Mohit Vaid, Vice President Karan Sharma, and Kaka G, were also present.
