JAMMU, Mar 25: Department of History in collaboration with NCC Unit of GDC Paloura observed Shaheed Diwas. The purpose of the programme was to remember and honour the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for India's freedom, particularly Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. Rajbir Singh and Harsh Bhardwaj students of Semester 6th department of History welcomed the gathering and provided information about the programme. The programme started with floral tributes to the martyrs followed by a documentary featuring discussion on the lives of above martyrs. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Vishal Magotra adviced the students to up hold the values of courage, patriotism and sacrifice in their lives. At the end of the programme Harsh Bhardwaj presented a melodious song on the occasion. The whole programme was organised by Prof. Vishal Magotra, HoD Department of History, Prof. (Lt.) Arun Sharma, ANO under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal of the college.
