GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur unveils maiden newsletter “Neer”

UDHAMPUR, Mar 25: Government Degree College (GDC) Neeli Nallah Udhampur marked a significant milestone with the launch of its first-ever newsletter, "Neer: The Campus Chronicles", under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Prof. Kuldeep Sharma (Principal, GDC Jindrah), Dr. Rajni Bhagat (Principal, GDC Katra), and Dr. Shalini Sharma (Principal, GDC Majalta). The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a melodious rendition of Saraswati Vandana by the students.
Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Convenor of IQAC, delivered the welcome address, after which the newsletter was officially unveiled. The publication showcases the college's achievements, academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement, reflecting the hard work of students and faculty.
In her address, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora highlighted the holistic approach of the institution under the National Education Policy (NEP) and emphasized how the newsletter symbolizes the college's commitment to quality education and lifelong learning. She also expressed her gratitude to the staff for their dedication in bringing the newsletter to life. The event concluded with the felicitation of students who excelled in academics, cultural events, and sports, recognizing their perseverance and achievements. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Shaista Yasmeen from the Department of English.
