Modi Govt's strong policies crushed separatism in J&K: Kavinder Gupta
3/25/2025 10:43:15 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 25: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has welcomed the decision of two organizations to sever ties with the Hurriyat, calling it a landmark moment in Jammu and Kashmir's journey towards complete peace and integration. He asserted that this move is a direct result of the strong and decisive policies of the Modi government, which has dismantled the separatist ecosystem in the Union Territory.
In a press release issued here today, the BJP stalwart stated that this development signals the final collapse of separatist politics in Kashmir. "For decades, Hurriyat misled the people of J&K, promoting instability and acting as a tool for anti-national forces. The decision by these two organizations to walk away from separatism reflects the growing realization that J&K's future lies in unity, not division," he said.
The senior BJP leader credited the abrogation of Article 370 as the turning point that exposed the real agenda of separatist leaders. "Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the central government has ensured that peace, progress, and prosperity define J&K's future. This latest development is yet another proof that separatism has lost its ground and that the people are choosing the path of nationalism," he emphasized.
Taking a dig at previous governments, Kavinder Gupta accused them of nurturing separatist elements for political gains. "Certain political parties used the Hurriyat to exploit sentiments and keep Kashmir in turmoil. But now, those days are over. Today, even former separatist allies are disassociating from their failed ideology," he asserted.
Kavinder further appealed to all remaining groups still linked to separatism to abandon their divisive agenda and join the mainstream. "The time has come to focus on development, employment, and progress. The Modi government is committed to ensuring a peaceful and prosperous future for J&K," he concluded.
The senior BJP leader reaffirmed that under the BJP's leadership, Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a historic transformation where separatism is being replaced by a new era of stability, growth, and national unity.
