GDC Sidhra organises activities under "Fit India" Campaign

JAMMU, Mar 26: Department of Physical Education and Sports of GDC Sidhra under the able guidance of Principal of the College, Dr. G.S Rakwal organised an Awareness lecture on benefits of Physical Fitness /Physical Activities to commemorate "Fit India" initiative with an endeavour to educate the students about healthy lifestyle. The program was organised as per the directions received from Director Colleges, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K.
On the occasion Mr. Deepak Kumar, Physical Director of the College delivered a lecture on "Health and Well Being through Physical Activity". He threw stress upon the importance of physical activities in today's sedentary lifestyle, He encouraged students to participate more and more in different kinds of physical activities such as Jogging, Walking, Stretching, Yoga Asanas etc. It was also stressed upon to remain away from the menace of drug addiction especially in teen age and to involve oneself actively in Sports and Physical activities. The event witnessed active participation from 60 students of the college along with the faculty members.
At the end, the event was concluded with formal Vote of Thanks presented by Dr Mansoor Ali (HoD Commerce).
