SRINAGAR, Mar 26: Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, chaired a high-level meeting with administrative officials to review the preparations for Eid-ul-Fitr, Juma-tul-Vida, and Lailat-ul-Qadr.
During the meeting, a comprehensive facilitation plan was discussed to ensure seamless arrangements at mosques and shrines during these significant religious occasions. Dr. Andrabi emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to provide essential services to devotees and instructed Waqf Board officials to work closely with concerned departments.
"Our belief in cooperation has led to successful management in the past, and we are committed to providing a hassle-free experience to the public during these festival days. Public cooperation remains our strength," she stated.
She expressed gratitude to the heads of various departments for their support in ensuring smooth management of religious gatherings. Dr. Andrabi also extended her greetings to the people on Juma-tul-Vida and Shab-e-Qadr, wishing for peace and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Umer Shah (SSP HQ), Hilal Khalik (SP Hazratbal), Peer Zahoor (SP Security), Zubair Ahmad (Tehsildar), Mohammad Yousuf (AEE Jal Shakti), Khurshid Ahmad (AEE KPDCL), Mohammad Shabir Akhoon (EXEN KPDCL Division 4th), Peer Salim (AEE LCMA), Fasil Khan (DySP SDRF), Abdul Rashid (Medical Officer Hazratbal), Ghulam Mustafa Rather (Sanitary Officer), and other officials. Executive Magistrate of J&K Waqf Board and the EXEN of the Board were also present.
The meeting concluded with a firm commitment to ensuring flawless arrangements, reflecting the administration's dedication to facilitating smooth and spiritually enriching congregations for devotees across Jammu and Kashmir.
