PG College Rajouri Hosts Extension Lecture

RAJOURI, Mar 26: The Postgraduate Departments of Urdu and English at Government Postgraduate College Rajouri organized an extension lecture on “Literature, Science, and Morality: Their Role in Shaping a Healthy Society.” The session, held on 26th March 2025, was delivered by Prof. Mohd Iqbal Raina, Head of the Department of Physics. The event, presided over by Prof. Zamir Ahmed Mirza, Principal, began with a welcome address by Dr. Mohd Latief Mir, Head of the Department of Urdu, and was conducted by Prof. Ajaz Ahmed Shah. Students from various disciplines attended the lecture, which explored the connection between literature, science, and morality in fostering a balanced and ethical society. Prof. Iqbal Raina emphasized the crucial role of literature and science in shaping societal values, promoting critical thinking, and encouraging moral growth. He highlighted how these fields complement each other in guiding humanity toward progress and ethical development. In his presidential address, Prof. Zamir Ahmed Mirza appreciated both departments for organizing the event and urged students to actively participate in such meaningful programs. Distinguished guests and faculty members, including Prof. Shoket Hussain, Dr. Riaz Ahmed Mirza, Dr. Zakir Hussain Kalis, Prof. Zulfiqar Shah, Dr. Rayaz Ahmed, Prof. Joginder Singh, Prof. Ram Kishore, Prof. Anies, and Prof. Rameez, were also present. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Zakir Hussain Kalis, HoD English.
