Cyber Crime Unit of Doda Police Recovers Rs. 6.75 Lakh in Online Fraud Cases

Doda, Mar 26: The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of J&K Police, District Doda, has successfully recovered Rs. 6,75,750 lost to online fraud.
The unit, under the supervision of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta (JKPS), and led by PSI Ankush Nagra, demonstrated exceptional technical expertise in solving these cases.
The complaints were filed by multiple victims, including Mohd Zia-ul-Haq, Arif Majeed, Suresh Kumar, Parvez Ahmed, Parvesh Kumar, Kaosar Hussain, and Jank Raj. After thorough investigation, the CCIU team managed to retrieve the defrauded money.
Since its establishment on February 7, 2024, the CCIU Doda has recovered a total of Rs. 40,37,334 from cyber fraud cases.
SSP Doda urged the public to stay vigilant against online fraud and report cyber crimes immediately to the National Helpline 1930 or via www.cybercrime.gov.in. Lost or stolen mobile phones can also be reported at www.ceir.gov.in.
