SCW Jammu Organizes Awareness & Training Camp on New Criminal Laws

Jammu, Mar 26: In light of the implementation of new criminal laws, the Special Crime Wing (SCW) Jammu organized an awareness and training program at the Crime Branch Headquarters (CHQ) Channi Rama, Jammu. The event aimed to equip officers with a comprehensive understanding of the revised legal procedures and their effective enforcement. The program was attended by all officers and officials of the Crime Branch (SCW) Jammu. Engaging discussions were held on the practical aspects of implementing the new criminal laws, with a focus on streamlining investigative procedures and enhancing efficiency through modern technology. Experienced investigating officers who have firsthand experience with the procedures under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS) shared valuable insights. They demonstrated the practical application of various digital tools such as e-Sakshya, e-Summon, Medleapr , etc essential platforms for improving investigation workflows and ensuring transparency. The session featured key addresses by resource persons, including Inspector Kali Charan, Inspector Deepak Thakur, and Sg. Ct. Shabir Ahmed (CCTNS), who elaborated on the technological advancements and procedural updates. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Parihar, along with Senior Public Prosecutor (Sr PO) Neha Nayyar and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) Javaid Iqbal Tabassum, participated in the event alongside all investigating officers and staff members of SCW. SSP Parihar emphasized the importance of continuous learning and highlighted that similar awareness and training camps would be conducted at regular intervals to keep the force updated and proficient. The program concluded with a commitment to fostering a proactive, informed, and technology-driven approach to law enforcement, ensuring the seamless adoption of new criminal laws for the benefit of the public and the justice system.
