JAMMU, Mar 28: Sarvesh Anand, Director of Gowan India, visited Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) to explore potential collaborations aimed at strengthening industry-academia linkages. During his visit, he held discussions with Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, and other senior university officials to enhance cooperation in research and student development.
Dr. Shailendra Choure, Director of Saraswati Agrochemicals India Pvt. Ltd., was also present, and the meeting was coordinated by Prof. Sanjay Guleria, Incharge of the Counselling and Placement Cell. The discussions focused on several key areas, including efficacy evaluation and residue estimation of new agrochemicals developed by Gowan India, facilitating student placements for better industry exposure, and initiating joint research in emerging fields such as bio-rationals and advanced agricultural technologies.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the agreement to organize regular industry engagement sessions to provide students with insights into evolving industry trends and requirements. This initiative is expected to strengthen SKUAST-Jammu's industry partnerships, enhance career prospects for students, and contribute to agricultural advancements through collaborative research and innovative product development.
This collaboration marks a step forward in bridging the gap between academia and industry, fostering innovation, and ensuring that students gain practical exposure to real-world agricultural challenges and solutions.
