| Mankotia demands regularization of VDCs as SPOs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Reasi, April 17, 2009: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has asked the state government to regularize all the Village Defence Committee members as SPOs.
Addressing an impressive meeting at Gool, Balwant Singh Mankotia said that NC-Cong coalition government is least concerned to ameliorate the sufferings of common masses. lamenting the plight of VDCs who have been left at the mercy of god, Mankotia said that VDCs are front line defenders of our motherland and government should honour their sacrifices by regularizing them as SPOs.
He also raised various other issues pertaining to the area inluding provision of basic amenities, educational infrastructure and demanded a special development and employment package for the area.
