| Leela Karan demands re-polling, alleges bogus voting in some polling stations | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr17-: BJP candidate from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Lila Karan Sharma on Friday demanded re- poll across several polling booths alleging that state sponsored machinery abused their authority by resorting to bogus voting.
Addressing a press conference here at party headquarters Lila Karan alleged that in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch several supporters of ruling alliance took control of the polling stations and prevented his polling agents from raising their voice against them. Providing elaborate details of the polling stations where workers of the Congress party and PDP cast bogus votes, Sharma said he has brought the matter into the notice of the Election Commission of India and is awaiting their formal response. On the occasion the BJP leader also accused the sitting Congress Ministers and others of misusing official machinery during elections. He extended thanks to his supporters and party workers who worked hard during the election campaign and supported him all the way.
