| DGP reviews security arrangements in Reasi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Reasi, Apr 17- The Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda convened a high-level meeting to review the security arrangements for the conduct of Lok Sabha elections in a free, fair and transparent manner in Reasi district, here today. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Reasi Udhampur range, Gulzar Singh Salathia, District Election Officer, Reasi, Sanjeev Verma, Senior Superintendent of Police, Anand Jain, Commandant Border Security Force (BSF), Commandant CISF, Commandant CRPF, Commandant IRP and Commandant CRP also participated in the meeting. Khoda issued necessary instructions to all the police officers to ensure elaborate security arrangements at all the 363 polling stations of the district well before the polling day. He called for better coordination between different security agencies posted at the polling stations for free and fair conduct of parliamentary elections on April 23 in the Reasi district. Additional force shall also be deployed at all the sensitive and hyper-sensitive polling station, he said. The meeting was apprised that as many as 8760 employees including presiding officers, polling officers, sectoral and zonal magistrates, micro observers and security personnel are being deployed in Reasi district where polling for Udhampur- Doda Parliamentary seat is being held in the second phase on April 23. The District Election Officer apprised the DGP about all poll arrangements for the smooth conduct of elections in the three Assembly segments of the district.
