| Div. com for regular market checking during Ramadan | | |
Srinagar, September 23 – Divisional commissioner Kashmir Mr. Basharat Ahmed has directed all the concerned departments to conduct regular market inspections during the month of holy Ramadan to check black-marketing and profiteering.
The Divisional Commissioner today chaired a high level meeting convened to finalize measures for ensuring best possible facilities to the people during the holy month commencing from tomorrow.
Development Commissioner Chief Engineers of PHE and Power, DDC Srinagar, besides officers of CA&PD, SMC and other departments attended the meeting.
Divisional commissioner asked Chief engineer Power to ensure adequate power supply during the holy month particularly at the time of Sahri and Aftar.
Similarly PHE authorities were asked to maintain water supply to all the localities, besides making special arrangements to water scarce areas of the Valley.
Likewise, it was decided that transport facilities would be ensured till late hours in the evening for the convenience of the people. Measures for ensuring adequate ration at PDS centers besides K-oil and LPG were also discussed. |
