Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrated at Thanamandi

RAJOURI, Apr 1: To maintain cordial relations with local citizens, the Indian Army conducted a celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr and an interaction with locals at LKG, Thanamandi, Chapta, Naili, and Pir Topa villages. The event aimed to foster good relationships with religious leaders in the area and counter the terrorist ecosystem at the grassroots level. The aim was to interact with locals and spread the message of harmony during the auspicious month of Ramzan. Representative of The Indian Army addressed the local people and conveyed about the significance of peace & coexistence of various communities in the society. He conveyed his good wishes to the villagers on behalf of the Indian Army and thanked the local people for their support towards the Security Forces. A total strength of 207 (29 locals at Thanamandi, 36 locals at Chapta, 12 locals at Naili and 65 locals at Pir Topa and 65 at LKG) attended the event, Sweets and Chocolates were also distributed. The event was successful in reaching out to people, to read through the populace and created multiple footprints of ethnical perception management across all villages in a single timeframe. This gesture and effort by Indian Army was highly appreciated by Awam. This endeavour by Indian Army to reach out to the population residing in remote areas, where civil administration has limited accessibility will go a long way in developing and strengthening trust between The Indian Army and Awam. The event also served as a platform to strengthen the bond between The Indian Army and the people of this region. It showcased The Indian Army's commitment towards service to the nation.
