| RKSP alleges rigging, demands re-polling in Suchetgarh constituency | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Apr 17-Rasahtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party state President Tanveer Hussain Babzada, has alleged large scale irregularities and goof up in the voter lists for parliamentary elections in J&K. Many bona-fide voters have been deleted from the electoral rolls while majority of the voters who figured in the electoral rolls for state assembly elections held only 100 days back have found their names missing from the voter lists for Lok Sabha elections. Citing a glaring case, Babzada said that RKSP candidate for assembly elections of 2008 from Suchetgarh constituency, Raj Singh Chib, found his name missing in the voter list as he went to cast his vote in the polling station. Demanding re-polling in Suchetgarh segment of Jammu-Poonch parliamentary constituency, Babzada said that he as well as Raj Singh Chib have already lodged a written complaint with the Returning Officer for Jammu Lok Sabha seat and the Chief Electoral Officer J&K. He added that there have been also complaints of names of many genuine voters in Akhnoor area missing in the electoral rolls.
