SAMBA, Apr 2: In an ongoing crackdown against vagrancy near drug hotspots, Samba Police detained four individuals under preventive sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and sent them to District Jail Kathua.
During a special operation conducted by the SHO of PS Bari Brahmana, the police detained four vagrants found wandering suspiciously near the infamous chitta hotspot at Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana. The detained individuals have been identified as Lakhan, Shakeel Ahmed, Karam Singh, and Mohd Saleem.
This move is part of Samba Police's continued efforts to curb drug-related offenses and rehabilitate individuals affected by substance abuse. The police have reiterated their commitment to eliminating the drug menace and assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in drug peddling and abuse.
