BJP KDD calls on Chief Secretary, raises key issues concerning Kashmiri Pandit Community

JAMMU, Apr 2: A delegation from the BJP Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) met with Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo at the Civil Secretariat Jammu today.
The meeting focused on addressing the pressing issues affecting the Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community .The delegation was led by Rajeev Pandita, President, BJP KDD and included General Secretaries Moti Lal Bhat Ji and Harikrishen Razdan .
During the discussion, the delegation highlighted several key concerns requiring immediate government intervention:
The delegation demanded immediate fund allocation for the repair and renovation of TRT (Transit Residential Township) flats in Jagti, Muthi, Buta Nagar, Nagrota, and Purkhoo. These accommodations, which house displaced Kashmiri Pandit families, are in dire need of maintenance.
BJP delegation demanded Enhancement of Monthly Cash Assistance to migrant relief holders added that The financial assistance provided to Relief Holders remains inadequate and also urged for a substantial increase in this assistance to help struggling families cope with rising living costs.
KDD delegation raised multiple concerns related to Prime Minister's Package employees emphasizing the need for Full implementation of SRO 43 to ensure job security and employment rights.
Priority transfer of medical cases for employees with severe health conditions Clarification on flat allotment whether employees need to vacate their government-allotted flats post-retirement. Immediate allotment of flats as many employees are forced to live on rent, creating financial distress. Genuine issues and concerns related to 34JKDMRR order were also raised during the meeting
The delegation urged the government to simplify the NAFSA form filing procedure for displaced KPs and address the concerns raised by some community members regarding the apprehensions of Filing the NAFSA form ..
KDD delegation raised Challenges Faced by Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits/Hindus living in Kashmir with regards to employment and certification issues. The delegation proposed Making the Non-Migrant Certificate process easier and available within Kashmir itself also urged Prioritizing non-migrants for government schemes to ensure they receive due benefits.
The delegation demanded urgent resolution of Pending leave salary issues of Kashmiri Pandit employees and Ex-gratia relief for burnt houses of migrants in Kashmir ensuring affected families receive compensation without further delays.
Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing and noted down all the important points which were raised and assured that these concerns would be addressed on priority.
