DC Poonch inspects Patient Care facilities

MENDHAR, Apr 5: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal on Saturday inspected the healthcare facilities and infrastructure at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Mendhar.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed achievements under various Health Sector Schemes and assessed the functioning of the health institution. He inspected key sections, including the Emergency Ward, OPD, IPD, Registration Counter, Jan Aushadi Kendra, and the Laboratory section.
DC Kundal engaged with hospital staff to gain firsthand insights into operations and the healthcare services offered to patients. He emphasized the importance of upgrading infrastructure, including improving seating arrangements for patients and their attendants during waiting times, as well as procuring necessary machinery. He requested department heads to submit detailed requirements to address any issues promptly.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with patients to gather feedback on the healthcare services provided. He visited the Jan Aushadi Kendra to assess medicine availability and instructed staff to increase stock levels to ensure optimal patient care. Kundal urged healthcare functionaries to meet patients' expectations by focusing on quality assurance and providing accessible, affordable healthcare services.
