Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 5: A significant meeting of ex-servicemen was held in Domana, under the Jammu North Assembly Constituency, led by retired Brigadier Balbir Singh Sambyal (Sena Medal). The gathering brought together several decorated veterans, including Captain Paras Ram Sharma and former Sarpanch Shamsher Singh, along with other ex-servicemen from the region.
Sham Lal Sharma, the chief guest at the event, paid heartfelt tributes to the sacrifices of the Indian armed forces and expressed his unwavering commitment to the welfare of veterans. He assured the gathering that their issues would be addressed with utmost urgency and respect. Veterans voiced several pressing concerns during the interactive session, including poor road conditions, erratic water supply, inadequate sanitation, and discrepancies in electricity billing. Mr. Sharma attentively listened to each point and pledged to raise the matters with the concerned departments for prompt resolution.
Highlighting his people-centric approach, Sharma assured the gathering that all grievances would be resolved in a time-bound and transparent manner. He emphasized that road infrastructure, sanitation, water supply, and electricity issues would be treated as priority areas by the administration.
He also thanked all party workers, supporters, and well-wishers for their tireless efforts during the recent elections, acknowledging their role in strengthening both his individual outreach and the Bharatiya Janata Party's presence in the region.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a strong sense of unity among the veteran community.
