JAMMU, Apr 7: The NSS Unit of Government College for Women (GCW), Bhagwati Nagar, commemorated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar with great reverence and enthusiasm today.
As a heartfelt tribute to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a tireless social reformer, the college organized a special documentary screening showcasing Dr. Ambedkar's life, struggles, and monumental contributions. The aim was to educate and inspire students by highlighting his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a towering figure in Indian history.
The event witnessed the active participation of faculty members, NSS Programme Officer Dr. Kamal Deep Singh, NSS volunteers, and students. Prof. Nisha Bhagat, Head of the Department of Sociology, addressed the gathering and underlined the timeless relevance of Dr. Ambedkar's ideals, stressing the need to uphold values of equality, education, and social justice.
