| Court rejects bail application of two accused involved in impersonation case | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr18-- Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu MK Sharma today rejected the bail application filed by Tej Pal Singh and Kijar Mohammed who are allegedly involved in a case of impersonation in which the investigation was conducted by Crime Branch Jammu. Special Mobile Magistrate after considering the facts of the case as filed by the prosecution observed that offences are serious in nature whereas offence u/s 467 RPC is punishable for 10 years and fine such like offences besides causing loss to the complainant result in multiplicity of litigation also when the real owner of the property comes to know about the fraud at a very later stage, the investigation in the case is as initial stage and some co-accused are yet to b arrested. In the interest of the public and state, not to grant bail to the accused, the application for the bail is disallowed According to Crime Branch the accused person in pursuance of criminal conspiracy managed a fake power of attorney wherein the accused by Tej Pal Singh impersonated himself as Ajit Pal Singh son of Santokh Singh and also obtained revenue extracts for the purpose of transfer of the land belonging to Ajit Pal Singh. The accused Kijar Mohammed stood as witness to the said fake power of attorney. On the written report lodged by Ajit Pal Singh a case u/s 419/420/ 465/ 467/468 r/w section 120- B RPC was registered by the police station Crime Branch Jammu and the accused was arrested. Senior Prosecuting Officer DP Singh filed objections to the bail application and opposed the bail application strongly whereas on the other hand Adv Sanjay Mehta appearing for the accused seeking bail of the accused persons as the accused persons are falsely involved in the case JNF.
