Reasi, Apr 9: Continuing the drive against drug abuse launched by District Police Reasi, a major breakthrough was achieved today, police party of P/S Katra while on patrolling duty apprehended one person namely Raj Singh S/O Thakur Singh R/O Pujari Mohalla Katra and during checking 9.36 grams heroin like Substance was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 103/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Katra and an investigation has been initiated to uncover both forward and backward linkages of the narcotics supply chain.
This successful operation was carried out under the leadership of SHO Police Station Katra, Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria, under the supervision of SDPO Katra, Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS, SP Katra, Sh. Vipan Chandran, JKPS.
While sharing the details, SSP Reasi, Sh. Paramvir Singh, JKPS, reaffirmed the commitment of Reasi Police to eradicating drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling from the district.
